Faculty-Led Trips

Amazon Learning partners with colleges and universities to design tailored, immersive trips that offer students hands-on experiences and academic growth in the Ecuadorian Amazon and beyond. These programs are led by faculty members from the respective institutions and are designed to deepen students' understanding of the region’s culture, environment, and people while complementing their academic studies.

Past programs include: a geography-focused trip with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, an alternative spring break trip with Williams College focused on public health, and an anthropology class from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and social entrepreneurship from Vanderbilt University.

Departments that may be interested in these programs range from Latin American Studies, Environmental Sciences, and Language Departments to areas like Anthropology, Global Studies, and International Development. Whether you’re seeking a field-based learning experience, a service-learning trip, or an opportunity to explore sustainable development and indigenous cultures, we can design the perfect experience for your students.
